The Pristella Tetra, often called the X-ray Tetra, is a hardy and popular choice for community aquariums due to its translucent body and striking fin markings.
These are active swimmers that thrive when kept in groups of six or more. They are adaptable to various water conditions but prefer a well-planted tank with open swimming space.
Omnivorous and easy to feed. They will readily accept high-quality flake foods, micro-pellets, and occasional treats of frozen brine shrimp or daphnia.
Highly compatible with other peaceful community species such as other tetras, rasboras, corydoras, and peaceful dwarf cichlids.
Currently sized at 2.5cm. They typically reach an adult size of approximately 4.5cm.
