The Penguin Tetra is a popular and hardy freshwater fish known for its distinctive swimming posture and striking black stripe that runs along its body and down into the lower lobe of the tail.
This species is easy to care for and thrives in a well-maintained aquarium. They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 to ensure they feel secure and display natural behavior.
Penguin Tetras are omnivorous and will readily accept most high-quality aquarium foods, including flakes, micro-pellets, and small frozen or live foods.
Excellent for community tanks. They get along well with other peaceful species such as other tetras, rasboras, livebearers, and bottom-dwelling catfish.
Available in sizes ranging from 2.5cm to 3.0cm.
