The Lemon Tetra is a popular and hardy schooling fish, prized for its translucent lemon-yellow body and striking red eye coloration. They are active swimmers that bring life and color to the mid-section of the aquarium.
Easy to maintain, making them ideal for beginners. They should be kept in groups of at least 6 to 10 individuals to reduce stress and showcase their best colors.
Omnivorous and not picky. They will readily accept high-quality flake food, micro-pellets, and occasional treats of frozen brine shrimp or daphnia.
Prefers stable tropical freshwater conditions. They thrive in well-planted tanks with moderate water flow.
An excellent community fish that gets along well with other peaceful species such as other tetras, rasboras, corydoras, and peaceful dwarf cichlids.
Typically reaches an adult size of approximately 4 to 5 cm. Current stock sizes range between 2.5cm and 3.0cm.
