The Silver Shark is a popular freshwater fish known for its sleek, silver body and striking black-edged fins. Despite the name, it is a peaceful species that adds dynamic movement to large aquariums.
Relatively easy to care for but requires a large tank due to its activity level and potential adult size. A secure aquarium lid is essential as they are known to jump when startled.
Omnivorous and not picky. They thrive on a varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional frozen or live foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms.
Currently supplied at 8cm. Note that this species grows significantly larger and will eventually require a substantial aquarium environment.
Peaceful with most tank mates of similar size. They are shoaling fish and are best kept in groups of 3 to 5 to reduce stress and skittishness.
