Egeria najas, commonly known as Guppy Grass, is a highly adaptable and fast-growing freshwater plant. It is a favorite among aquarists for its ability to oxygenate the water and provide excellent cover for fry and shrimp.
This is an extremely hardy plant that can thrive in a wide range of water conditions. It does not require CO2 injection and is suitable for beginners.
Prefers moderate to high lighting to maintain its lush green appearance and rapid growth.
Can be planted in the substrate as a background plant or left to float freely on the water surface.
Easily propagated by taking stem cuttings and replanting them or simply letting them float.
