The Hopar H-136 (commonly referred to as the "Gira-Gira" or wavemaker deflector) is an external, mechanical rotating water deflector designed for aquariums. Unlike motorized wavemakers, it attaches directly to the outflow of existing submersible pumps or filters and uses the kinetic energy of the water flow to rotate, requiring no electrical power.
