Egeria densa, commonly known as Brazilian Waterweed or Anacharis, is a highly adaptable and fast-growing freshwater plant. It is an excellent choice for beginners due to its hardiness and ability to help oxygenate the water while competing with algae for nutrients.
This plant is very easy to care for and can thrive in a wide range of water conditions. It does not strictly require CO2 injection, making it suitable for low-tech setups.
Requires low to moderate lighting. While it can survive in lower light, moderate intensity will promote denser and more vibrant growth.
Best placed in the background of the aquarium where it can grow tall, or left floating on the surface to provide cover for fry.
Propagation is simple; just cut a healthy stem and replant it into the substrate or let it float.
