Chihiros Doctor 3rd Generation is an electronic aquarium sterilizer designed to suppress algae growth, promote plant health, and protect fish or shrimp. It uses a process called electrolysis to split water molecules, generating a fine mist of hydroxyl radicals that break down the cell walls of floating algae spores and harmful bacteria without leaving residual toxicity.

Critical Setup & Usage Rules

To keep your aquatic life safe and ensure the device functions correctly, you must follow these specific protocols:
- Preventive, Not Curative: The Chihiros Doctor targets algae spores, not established algae. Clean existing algae manually before installing it; it is best used in newly set up aquariums to prevent initial outbreaks.
- Check Your TDS (Total Dissolved Solids): Do not use this device if your aquarium's TDS is higher than 500. High mineral/salt content causes excessive current flow, which can burn out the reactor mesh instantly or harm livestock.
- No Continuous Operation: Never force the unit to run constantly. Let its internal algorithm manage the intervals.
- Regular Mesh Cleaning: Over time, calcium and magnesium build up on the white metal mesh. If it stops producing a fine mist, soak the reactor block in a gentle citric acid or vinegar solution to dissolve the mineral crust.
